Chickens! Yay

We got ourselves these adorable little chicks. Hopefully they will grow into our super duper egg layers.

We've had them for about a week now, and the kids have played with them every day. They love them and take really good care of them. Jake is more excited about these chicks then i thought he would be. It so fun to be able to have these fluffy little birds.
*EASTER*

This Easter we had two Easter egg hunts and plenty of time with family. The kids loved playing with their cousins, and of course loved the whole egg hunt idea...
lol the picture above is Demetri sneaking up to tickle or tackle one of the two?

I couldn't pass up this awesome picture of Naomi and i both making dorky faces. love it-

Hope you all had a Happy Easter filled with more than candy. Thanks to all the family that made our Easter good :)
My little baby turned 2 last month!

She has such a fun day and loved getting the royal treatment from all of us! even demetri went out of his way to be nice and make her feel special. I cant believe she is 2...Im so glad we've had two wild but wonderful years already with this sweet girl.

Jake and i also celebrated our Birthday's last month, but we were slackers in the picture department. Never the less, Happy Birthday to Us! :)
Sledding fun!

So last month for conference weekend, we went sledding. Listened to the first half of conference in our little farm house..Then in the break between 12-2:00 we went sledding with Shem and Alisha, then finally finished the second half with them at their place. I was well needed fun for all!
I didn't know Demetri was going to love sledding as much as he did!? He is one sledding fool.
The boys started hurling each other down the hill to see how far they could go. By the end we were all loving to be spun and spin down the hill.

Naomi only lasted a few minutes before she decided she was cold and done. Eventually she just borrowed Shem's coat and slept like a snow bunny.
BEWARE OF THE SAW!

I know alot of people have been waiting for the finger pics. And most of you have already seen the fingers in person already healing. BUT better late than never.

For those of you who haven't heard the story, or wanted to hear it again...For the first time in the 7 years Jake's been around saws, he got his fingers in one! And out of all the saws he works with, it had to be the table saw. (go big or go home i guess) His index finger and thumb were pulled into the table saw his first week of his new job. He had a bunch of stitches, and shattered his bone. Luckily, he still has all his fingers.

He was one lucky guy and he avoided losing a finger. He also missed his knuckle by a hair so he still has full use and mobility of his thumb. I'm very grateful he saved his hand, and i hope this is our only blade encounter!
These little squirts are my life! I love them so much, and with mothers day coming this weekend...I am especially grateful to be a mother! My kids can always put a smile on my face, and some sunshine in my day. Although they run me ragged, i never want to be with out them! They are the sweetest, happiest, most loving people i know.

They have such a cute little relationship and have become the best of friends these last few months.
This girl had no hope. With Jake and i for parents, she had no chance of not being a total nerd and full out goof ball!

Demetri is so proud to be the BIG brother, and is excited for another little sister to protect. He did request that the next baby be a brother so he can rough him up a bit...

Naomi is on this crazy smile kick. She says cheese and then pulls this silly face, it almost looks like her little face is stretched so much it hurts. But i love to take a million pictures of this smile because these fazes only last for a little while.

I cant believe how big my boy is! He was such a little tike and now he's all independent, and has to do everything for himself. Tomorrow he'll be driving and the next day he'll have his own family!
I'm so glad they are so close and get along so well. We are all excited to welcome our new little princess in the family. I must be the luckiest woman alive to be blessed with not 2 but 3 of these little gifts from heaven!
This February we celebrated our 5 year anniversary! I cant believe how fast time flies!!! We had a wonderfully perfect day. Sadly i was prego so that eliminated some of our really fun ideas for how to celebrate this special day....we spent the morning celebrating with our cute little kids, then dropped them off to play and had a 10hr date just the two of us! We don't take time to relax very often so this was so nice.

I cant believe i have been blessed to spend the last five years married to my FAVORITE person on earth! I cant wait to have many more wonderful years with my sweet heart. Jake- i Love you...
This was the first day the snow melted this January. We were so anxious for the warm weather; we took that opportunity to make our first park trip of the year. Due the the January weather, we only lasted about 40min.

Back in January we had some fun in the snow...

The boys realized we hadn't made a snowman this winter, so they got to work.

I think he turned out pretty cute, and the kids had a blast with their daddy.

Haha this fun activity ended up being Jake and Demetri doing all the work and us girls just enjoying watching them push snow across the yard, but Jake's always a good sport! :)
